Why doesn't the NAACP throw all their time into making sure these disenfranchised black people have acceptable ID instead of going to the 3rd world thugs and dictators at the UN. WTH would Cuba, Russia, North Korea, China or any of the other commies know about fair elections. The UN has no business meddling in American affairs and somebody needs to tell Hillary Clinton this too, because she's hell bent on backdooring our 2nd amendment rights with her UN Small Arms Treaty. These psychopathic liberal progressive socialist have no place in the US and should all move to some nice commie country that will tolerate their whinning and underhanded treachery.

Catherine Engelbrecht should not be too sure that the UN cannot run our elections. Remember that Ginsberg has already disregarded US law in favor of European law. Since then Obama has placed two more 'highly qualified and impartial' justices on the Court!

If the NAACP or any other group, for that matter, is worried about people not being able to vote for WHATEVER reason - transportation, no valid ID, etc. - maybe they should set up a booth on the affected area and sign people up, then run a bus on election day to get them to the polls. I understand non-driver picture IDs (my dad has one) are free, and if they aren't maybe the NAACP should use some of the $ paid by its members to buy them for these poor, disenfranchised folks.

When I said I disagree with that author, I am referring to his agreement with the statement “The NAACP can appeal to whatever body it chooses to — the U.N. doesn’t run our elections.” See above comment for why I believe the UN could be used to force this issue on the U.S.

I disagree with the author of this article. While the UN can not do anything on its own, it can engage in a treaty with the United States on this topic. A treaty is considered one of the supreme laws of the land.

Article IV of the US Constitution states "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

This is why it is so important to make sure you are careful as to who the President and who the Senators are who are elected, and to hold them accountable, including impeachment for the President and recalls for the Senators - if they abuse their powers or try to enter into a back door treaty to hide "law" from the people who elect them. Senator's and the President are responsible for ratifying treaties.

You may want to consider writing to your Senator and letting them know that you oppose a treaty from the UN on this topic (probably a good idea to ask them not to submit us to any UN treaty - since I have not heard of one positive UN treaty that does not strike at US Sovereignty).

The NAACP claims poor people can't get I.D. as required by voter I.D. laws. This is a lie. They don't seem to be unable to get food stamps or other assistance which requires proof of who they are so this fact alone blows the NAACP's argument out of the water.

I urge, I IMPLORE every American citizen to get both books by Brigitte Gabriel: "Because They Hate" and "They Must Be Stopped". She has seen the take-over and destruction of her homeland by the same people that rule Iran and Saudi Arabia...the same people that Obama bows and scrapes to. Sharia law, Jihad, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Radical Islam, Hezbollah, Taliban...all words we best get very familiar with. Obama doesn't have the brains God gave a goose....he's a puppet for a very tyrannical, oppressive group of people that want nothing more than to see the United States brought to it's knees, to see our Constitution abolished and ALL freedoms crushed under their heel. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! If Obama gets a second term, what's to prevent him from seeking a third? a fourth? He has dreams of being an Emperor and with the deep pockets of the Far East he will get that throne. They can BUY anything and/or anyone (Judges, Senators, Universities, radio/television corporations, etc.) to do their bidding.

The only thing that I can come up with to help sway voter fraud is:

Go to the election office at your city hall and show your id at the counter
to the person who processes the information in the voter ledger.

Request to be listed as UNDECLARED. You want to send a message to both
political parties that you don't vote for party but for constitutional
individuals.Make sure that you re register as undeclared before walking out of
the polling place.

Request that you have it typed under your name on the voter ledger that
will be sitting on the table at the polls; PLEASE ASK FOR ID
PER VOTER REQUEST. No laws are being broken you just want to insure that no one
is using your identity.

It may also help to bring a copy of a death certificate of the deceased
love one and advise the clerk that" if anyone votes under this certain
individuals name, then take it as a red flag". Make sure that the deceased's
last address and social security number is available to show the clerk and have
that clerk pass the information at the volunteers at the polls who pass out the
ballots.

This is my suggestion for states that refuse to pass the VOTER ID
REQUIREMENT. It may work or may not but, it is worth a try to use as a loophole.
PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND IF YOU AGREE WITH ME. MAKE IT VIRAL NATIONALLY.

It was Bush II that gave us the defective electronic voting machines from his large contributor, Diebold. Diebold's CEO was heard to say, he purposefully made the machines hackable in order to re elect Bush II. Only now are we upset? This should have been fully investigated before now and changes made to all the electronic voting machines to require a paper print out of each vote cast so the votes can be evaluated in the case of a contested election result.
As to voter ID laws, these do have a discriminatory effect on those who have recently moved, often due to foreclosure, and have to pay for a new driver's license in order to update their new address.
Often they are not able to find their new voting precinct or where to vote. This has been made doubly hard with new redistricting of precincts, as the new information has not been widely published. A major flaw is that many of these changes are only available on line and many people do not have access to this information. Those wishing to assist voters obtain the required ID are often prosecuted for trying to register voters. This was the case in Florida where a teacher was threatened with jail time for getting her 18 year old students to register to vote. The state was forced to make modest changes that only put the school district liable for violations of the registering requirements and only because of public disclosure of the new law's requirements to register any organization trying to assist people to register to vote such as providing transportation. These are only some of the problems not addressed by the new voter ID laws. I have no problem with verifying a voter as long as all the issues preventing people from being able to vote legitimately are addressed. Currently, that is not the state of the laws.

The only way to keep our elections as honest as possible is to require ID. Also we have to go back to paper punch ballots. Only counted by machine and untouched by human hands. The computerized voting machines are easily hacked and gaurantee an election void of honesty.

Other than absentee voting. Elections should only last one day. And people must make an intentional effort to be allowed to vote. By going on the day ascribed. And by being responsible with this privledge by making sure they have ID. All others should be turned away. Every vote should not be counted, when they are illegal.

If by trickery and slight of hand you mean that we are stopping illegal voting, then I am all for it. I have to have a Drivers License with my picture on it, to drive my truck. I have to have my ID to cash a check. I have to have my ID to go into a bar or liquor store. I have to produce my ID to get a job. These people can sure as he!! produce an ID to cast their vote for the leader of the free world.
